70. Looking back

As this year comes to a close, I do the customary look back at it:

I am so grateful for so many things. I am grateful for friends and family, for my jobs and for the adventures I have in the off time; for exploring new options with my blog and businesses; for you, dear readers, who keep coming back to read these posts.

But I think mostly I am grateful to have helped people and students persevere in their aspirations. Sometimes the right word of encouragement or advice can be the spark that moves people in the right direction.

Of all the things I have learned over the years, and things that I still continue to learn about, I love passing that knowledge and experience on to thirsty newcomers. I love being able to break down a complex topic so someone can understand and run with it—this is one of the reasons why I became a teacher.

Of course, there were not-so-good times as well—life isn’t rose colored all the time. Those experiences have helped shape my journey as well, but they mix with all the good stuff to give me a unique year.

However the year has treated you, I hope this next decade blows it out of the park and sets you on an amazing path.

Everyone wishes a generic Happy New Year; I wish you an awesome time of learning, life, and amazing experiences. My goal for this year: to wrap up on of the projects I have been working on for years (lol I say this every year—it will always be one of my goals until it gets completed). More realistically? Write another book, build up my businesses, and find even more hilarious cat memes to laugh at.

FYI: I’m going to change things up for the new year and start posting on Wednesdays and Saturdays and see how that works out. Just trying out something different.
