I had a funny random post all queued up for today, but something gnawed at my mind.
Probably what’s been gnawing on most people’s minds.
When you take in what’s been happening in the world, and how this kind of thing happens over and over seems like, it tends to stack up like dominos and build in tension until it finally just gets to you.
And you feel the need to say something, which normally I don’t.
I grew up in a very sheltered environment. Even when other family members were going through turmoil, I was secluded from it, to the point that I didn’t even know it was going on or how things were dragging out. I’m not saying it was right or wrong that’s just how it was.
Nowadays, I try to stay in the know with what’s going on, not because I can offer help all the time, but because I can try to lend support where I can, cheer on the victories, and pray during the downfalls. I’m not a superhero by any means but my heart goes out to people nonetheless.
To those fighting for their freedoms, to those driving down the roads in their own country and getting bombed at, to those sacrificing their lives so that others may live to fight another hour, another day to defend what’s theirs—
I want you to know that we hear you, we see you, and we are praying for you. For those that can do more and are reaching out with what they can, bless you. For those that can do more and won’t, I hope they realize soon that their decisions will not bear the fruit they think they will.
This is not an isolated incident. These acts of travesty strike chords in the hearts of those usually silent around the world, including me. Just because we don’t normally speak out does not mean we don’t care. It usually means we don’t like to advertise our stance.
Know that even though we are thousands of miles away, you still have my support. I hope you continue to fight and win.
